Auto-Profiles

Localytics automatically collects some Localytics information about your users.

If you have enabled Localytics Marketing, you can target users using Profiles without any additional coding as long as your app is using our SDK v2.7.1 or newer. Auto-Profiles help you improve your targeting and marketing personalization.

To view Auto-Profiles, click Profiles in the left navigation bar. In this screen, you can view statistics about your Profiles and their attributes, filter your Profiles by type and scope, search for specific Profiles using the search bar, and export a list of your Profiles to a CSV file. You can also click on a Profile's name to see the data on which the Profile is based.

All custom dimensions defined in your app become Auto-Profiles. Localytics also creates a number of other Auto-Profiles, as you can see in the table below.

You can target using Auto-Profiles in many useful ways.

eCommerce & Retail

Total sessions: Target your customers who have had more than 100 sessions in your app to thank them for being a loyal user.

Anonymous user type: Target your customers with user type anonymous and encourage them to add their information to your app so you can send them personalized shopping offers.

Last time zone: Target your customers whose last time zone is EST so you can send them a timely message about a special sale happening from 6–9 am EST.

First session date: Reach customers who first launched your app one year ago and send them a special offer for long-time customers.

Last session date (cross app): Provide a more relevant experience by reminding your customers to use a free shipping code regardless of the platform they last used to access your app.

Last push opened date: Target users based on the date they last opened a push notification with an offer of free shipping on their next purchase.

Media & Entertainment

Push enabled (disabled): Target your customers with push disabled and encourage them to enable push messaging by assuring them that they will only receive relevant content from you.

Last app version: Encourage users to upgrade to the latest app version so they can continue to stream their favorite HD movies, or use the new “chat help” app feature to get help from representatives in the app.

Last custom dimension: Target your customers who watch Mad Men to give them a sneak peek into the upcoming episode, or target your non-paying customers to purchase a premium content subscription.

Gaming

User type known:Target your customers who are known users and send them a special game token because you know they are loyal game subscribers.

Last OS version: Target your customers who haven’t yet updated to the newest OS version and entice them to upgrade with new levels or game features.

Push enabled false: Reach your customers who haven’t yet enabled push notifications and let them know that enabling push will allow them to recieve more game tips so they can advance to the next level.

Last country: Target customers from different countries in the correct language

Last in-app message displayed date: Target users who have not opened an in-app message since a date to reward them with gaming offers as they play.

Travel & Lifestyle

Last session date: Reach your customers anywhere based on the last session date across any of their devices. If they were about to book a trip online, message them about completing the trip on their iPhone through your app.

Last country: Reach your customers with relevant messages, like country deals, specific laws, or country-specific news, based on the country from which their last session opened.

User type anonymous: Encourage your anonymous customers to create a profile in your app so that they can track their eating habits and get relevant health tips customized to their behavior and profile.

Last push opened date: Reward push openers by providing an exclusive discount code.

Last in-app message displayed date: Send a push notification to people who last opened an in-app message on a date and encourage them to engage with the app again.

Last city:Reach people who last launched your app from London and target them with special offers that only apply to travel around other UK cities.
