Events

Events are the actions that happen during a session.

These actions could include video plays, settings changes, successful logins, or any other action that users perform while interacting with the app.

Because events happen within sessions, they inherit all of the session's dimensions. For example, if a session is started on an iPhone 5s then all of the events that happen within that session will be tagged as happened on an iPhone 5s. This makes it possible to split events by all of the Default Dimensions. There are many different ways to use events for analysis.

• Look at event counts to understand how users are interacting with the app
• Create funnels out of events to see how key processes are working
• Segment users into groups based on the events they completed
• Track CLV with key purchase or transaction events
