Analyze location

View the countries, areas, and cities where your users access your app.

Maps provide a visualization of where your users are located when they are using the app. Location is determined by the IP address of the data being uploaded.

Finer grained location is determined by GPS for applications that use the setLocation API in their integration. Any apps that do not use location for the actual function of the app should not submit GPS and, for these only, WiFi users are included in fine-grained analysis.

For the United States, a metro area app is available as well as a state view.

This chart shows the top cities using the app. This data can be useful for determining where to invest marketing efforts. This data is also useful to help determine which markets to expand the app into. For example, a large user base in a foreign country may suggest there is value in investing in localization.
