Event attributes

Attributes provide the context for events.

Unlike dimensions, which are session-wide and do not change, attributes are only relevant to a specific event. For example, an Article Read event may have attributes for article title or article section. Attributes are used to take event analysis beyond simple counts of what people are doing. You can:

• Find the most successful articles or videos.
• Understand whether users are logging in via Facebook, Twitter, or email.
• Store the values users are changing in settings screens.
• Target users whose event times exceed a certain threshold.
